Hong Kong street art is some of the best in the world. Created by artist from all over the world has the colorful street art definitely added vibrancy, beauty and flowers to our metropolitan city.
The appearance of mainstream street art is a relatively new phenomena in the culture of Hong Kong. You can easily spend an afternoon or two walking around the various neighborhoods and stumbling upon funky and colorful street art hidden down tiny side streets. Here you find some guidance to spot the best graffiti with flowers in their designs.
Floral street art in Soho
Best is to start in Central at Graham Street and walk along Hollywood Road towards Sheung Wan. Spot the gorgeous Asian flower ladies by Neil Wang on Square Street, the laughing woman with a head of flowers by Elsa de Jean De Dieu on Peel Street and the flowers in buzzing Hong Kong on Elgin street. Just wander further down the streets and discover several graffiti pieces high and low. Check out the map from 2018 of the HKWalls organization for their selection in this creative neighborhood.
Walking on flowers in Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun
Sai Ying Pun is one of the coolest places to go for a cultural walk along all the street art. The neighborhood shows a lovely mix of the traditional “Old Hong Kong” and new hipster places. These graffiti artists have turned the cruel experience of walking endless steps in the Hong Kong summer into something that brights your day and makes you feel happy. ARTLANE on Chung Ching street is definitely worth a visit to spot great street art. Check out the map from 2014 and 2015 of the HKWalls organization for all the locations.
Flowers all over Wan Chai
In Wan Chai, start on Queen’s Road East near Hopewell Centre and stroll around towards Morrison Hill Swimming Pool. Don't miss out the Dezio floral fiësta wall of Dezio and IVE Morrison Hill. For all the street art in Wan Chai you can check the HKWalls organization map of 2019 here.
Stay tuned for the 2020 edition of the HKWalls organization and keep your eyes open for all the lovely flowers around you.
